גבעתי שלי

military wake,Jerusalem.

I visited Jerusalem last night to see a concertart showbirthday. All were nice.
It is winter in Jerusalem, good chance for the local hipsters to dress up.

Went to shoot in Tel Aviv – Jaffa.

Who by the fire…

Fallen Soldier Memorial Day, Herzel Mountain military cemetery.

Trolley to be used by the elderly and the disabled. The sign says “please put your empty soda bottles in the sack”. An empty soda bottle costs 25 Ag(6 cent).

Students strike

The students strike against the goverments descision to raise tuition cost(which is opposite to the descision of a goverment apointed commision). There is a risk a semester will be lost. Two opposing fractions practicly got into a fight when I was there – I shot a film or so of the heated arguments.

Ashdod Market,Movied

The bra and trinket salesman.

Cauliflower.

Hats.Note a lady in the shadows wearing one.

Watched: Nina’s Disasters(mediocre movie with one great twist – the two similiar men,
Aeylet Zurer is a pleasure to look at).

The Departed: Good.Scorscese is returning to himself.

Big square slides turn me on.

They are a bitch to scan – Shai Yochai helped me with PS to curve and color balance the last three.

I got a couple of new photo books in the last month:
Shim’on Korbman – “Different Tel Aviv 1919-1936“(I have his print at my parents house) and “Israeli Portraits” by Vardi Kahana.
Both are great – each in its own way.
