early morning,serene.

Lena in the morning. Tonight she leaves to Moscow on family matters for a few days. She packs her bags as I type this.

Today I took a 6 hour photo walk with the very talented Allon Kira who just happens to be a darn nice guy,Moshik and Dvir from d-spot analogue photography forum. Shot several rolls of plus-x,tested the polaris lightmeter.I like it. I met Kobi Wolf in Jaffa ,(who I met at his exhibition about an year ago),and we talked for several minutes. He drooled over my leica. He did not remember my name but remembered the photos I took of him there and thanked me for them.I still feel like an idiot for not asking him to sign his book then. He leaves for Chad in a few days with his canon 1DMk2 which he says he hates but uses for asigments. He wet prints his own prints.

as I sat sadly by her side.

As I sat sadly by her side
At the window, through the glass
She stroked a kitten in her lap
And we watched the world as it fell past
Softly she spoke these words to me
And with brand new eyes, open wide
We pressed our faces to the glass
As I sat sadly by her side

She said, father, mother, sister, brother,
Uncle, aunt, nephew, niece,
Soldier, sailor, physician, labourer,
Actor, scientist, mechanic, priest
Earth and moon and sun and stars
Planets and comets with tails blazing
All are there forever falling
Falling lovely and amazing

Then she smiled and turned to me
And waited for me to reply
Her hair was falling down her shoulders
As I sat sadly by her side

+1.

I am a person who likes contrast in all thing in life.It took me years to understand life is not “black and white”.At least most my pictures are.

Sometimes “bleaching” out half a face with levels and light adds to the expression.

a men’s shirts works best on women

From the same roll as last time – Adi is the easiest person to shoot from my very limited experience.

Life is good. The only hard thing is University – but I will get on top of that.

I’ve been offered a Polaris sd100 for 90$ and since I need a new lightmeter I might take it – if I like the testdrive. I only own one camera with a light meter now so I depend on it indoors and at night.

Dad! I want a bycycle!

The wonderful, wonderful Lena found her grandfathers portable Enlarger(UPA,35mm,folds into suitcase) and asked if I could use it.
I can.It might fit my tiny flat much better then the huge Meopta(which is better and handles 6×6 but is to big for my place).

I want to see if I can clean it up and work it.

What a wonderful coincidence.
