foreign employees are todays migrant workers, only recently laws were made to protect their intrests and they started to get decent treatment.

Most of them live in Southern Tel Aviv.
They spend years here doing agricultural work,construction,menial labour and wet nursing the elderly among other things. Most are from the Philippines,Thailand,China,Romania and Nigeria. They seem lonely,but in southern Tel Aviv they have their own diners,stores,clubs and bordellos – they seem much more relaxed there.Some have children born here.

Watched:”Eastern Promises”(weak with good points) and “History of Violence”(good). Cronenberg is improving with age.

Almost a haiku.I said it to a friend during a conversation.It looked poetic.

Today is free admission day to most of Tel Avivs museums – they stay open till 23:00!!!

The wonderful,wonderful Lena found her grandfathers portable Enlarger(UPA,35mm,folds into suitcase) and asked if I could use it.
I can.It might fit my tiny flat much better then the huge Meopta(which is better and handles 6×6 but is to big for my place).

I want to see if I can clean it up and work it.

What a wonderful coincidence.
