Positive

I am trying to transfer a couple of positive moments I had in the last couple of years.

One is my cousin’s wedding – It came out blurry but I like it.

The other one is a lazy free Sabbath at my army base – it is an 30mm ammo box with the sun shinning above it.

  1. That second image brings back memories: the sublime Israeli light, and how it coaxed even the mundane into specialness. Subjects like the shabby (then!)(is it still?) bus terminal at Beit Lid, and the souvenir shops at Kfar Vitkin, turned photogenic with its blessing.
The first image is simply lovely.

  2. Thanks,Lynn.

    I can’t agree about good Israeli light – it’s harsh,produces deep shadows,flare,bleak colors,burnt skin and sweat.

I haven’t been to beyt lid or kfar vitkin but if they were shabby 5-10 years ago – they are still shabby.

  3. I think you very lucky and hope you were happy.

Where have you been in Israel?
Thinking of your land of origin and the length of the stay I presume you volunteered to work in a kibbutz?
Do tell more of your stays here :).

If you visit again – I will gladly meet you for a photo day.
    CoffeeBeer on me.
